Raphael Martin "Pat" Meehan
July 1, 1914 - January 22, 2006

Although his visible image has faded, his wisdom and guidance will continue to shine brightly in our lives.  For almost 92 years he was a guiding force in many lives.  An avid sports fan and participant in many athletic activities.  His physical conditioning helped him to lead a long and active life.

Pat was also a man of wisdom that saw the benefit of a strong mind as well as a strong body.  His academic credentials were many.  His ability to teach and guide were his exceptional talents.  Teaching was his life's work.  Even into retirement he taught classes and supervised others to help with highway safety.

He will be missed by his wife, family, fellow teachers and the many friends he made during an inconceivably constructive lifetime.

May the Lord watch over him and keep him forever dynamic.

This was written and published just after my father's death.  It is being re-visited on the occasion of Father's Day 2014.  This year we also lost my mother.  Tim and I had a great pair for parents.  We miss them.

Again I visit this page in honor of our Father on this day we honor all fathers.

Today, July 1, 2017, our Father would have been 103.  Happy birthday in heaven dad!
